Editorial Principles

At Sektörel Kıbrıs, our basic principle is to give readers accurate, balanced and clear information.

Sources and use of artificial intelligence

  • Our articles are compiled from public statements and reports by official bodies, professional chambers, companies and news organisations.
  • Sources covering the same event are compared, the facts are extracted and the article is rewritten originally with the help of artificial intelligence. Source texts are not copied; the sources used are linked under every article.
  • Only facts found in the sources are used. Numbers or quotations not found in the sources are flagged by our system and such articles are not published without an editor’s approval.
  • Direct quotations are only taken from words that appear in quotation marks in the source, with the speaker named.
  • The “Sector View” section under articles is an editorial assessment based on the information in the article and is shown separately.
  • Articles are written in Turkish. English, Russian and German versions are translated with the help of artificial intelligence; numbers are checked against the original, and every translation links to the Turkish original.
  • Our photos are selected only from royalty-free or openly licensed libraries (Wikimedia Commons, Pexels); they are representative photos and the photographer and licence are credited under each article. If no suitable photo exists, our own cover design is used. Photos of news sites and other organisations are not used without permission.

Impartiality

We do not take political sides and we do not report unproven allegations about people or organisations. Commercial promotions are not presented as news.
